VELD has moved together with Atelier Horizon to an office space located in the beautiful Diamond Neighbourhood in Schaarbeek Brussels. We are delighted with the result after renovation works that we have coordinated over the past 6 months. We are looking forward to receive our clients in this new space once the situation has gone back to normal.

VELD wins the Open Oproep 3902 competition together with Atelier Horizon to design the masterplan for the redevelopment of the station area of Boom!
Looking forward to work together with D+A, Orientes, Traject and Common Ground.
We are happy to be shortlisted together with Atelier Horizon for the Open Oproep 4007 to design the masterplan for the west tip of the Buda-island in the historical center in Kortrijk!
VELD is happy to announce that we have won the architectural competition together with B-architecten, co-organized by CPAS Brussels and the BMA for the new OCMW/CPAS Brussels building in the middle of the Marolles District.
The building forms the cornerstone of the building block determined by the UMC Stin-Pieter hospital and the existing OCMW/CPAS office buildings. Including offices, social housing, a nursery, a commercial space and a passage for emergency vehicles from the UMC Sint-Pieter hospital, the project contains a mixed and intense programme, made up of different uses with various requirements and time frames.

We are thrilled to announce that VELD has won together with B-architecten the CITYDOX competition organized by bouwmeestermaitrearchitecte and Atenor!
This metropolitan city block combines a secondary school with retail spaces and housing. The strategically positioned playground engages strongly with the surrounding public realm and introduces the CITYDOX district from the larger canal area.

An online event, curated by Osmos Network, brought a great number of participants together around the project in a surprisingly interactive way.
VELD presented together with Atelier Horizon and the Mayor of Zele the masterplan for the redevelopment of brownfield Lange Akker to the inhabitants which was enthusiastically received.
We are happy to announce that we won the Winvorm 2001- competition organized by the City of Torhout and the Provincie West-Vlaanderen.
The project consists of the redevelopment of the Blekerijsite, currently used as a parking lot, into new qualitative public space as well as 30 social housing units.

Together with the City of Poperinge, VELD organized a Webinar Live Session to explain the Masterplan Vroonhof to the inhabitants of Poperinge.
The masterplan was positively received and several interesting comments and suggestions for the further development of the masterplan were made.

A few intense months are coming up! In just one week, we were shortlisted for 3 architectural competitions in a row, all of them in the capital of Brussels.
For two of the competitions, Rue Abricotier and Citydox lot 7, we teamed up with B-architecten.
Two of the competitions, Rue Abricotier and Rue Haute, are in the Marolles neighbourhood and are part of a larger urban regeneration strategy for this city district.
The three competitions are followed up by the BMA, Brussel Bouwmeester Maître-Architecte.

VELD is very happy to be shortlisted together with Atelier Horizon for the competition for the redevelopment of the station area of Boom. This very challenging and complex site is situated along the Rupel and enclosed between the A12 highway and the railway infrastructure.
Our team will submit its proposal at the end of september!
VELD wins Open Call 3709 organized by Team Vlaams Bouwmeester and the town of Heist-op-den-Berg!
The assignment consists of the design of a development strategy for the realization of an administrative centre in Heist-op-den-Berg.
VELD will lead the team as architect-urban designers in collaboration with GRUE (landscape architects), Osmos (consultant in public participation), Peter De Groot (expert in financial feasibility) and Traject (consultants in mobility).
VELD is currently looking for an architect-urban designer with up to 2 years of professional experience to join their team. Dutch speaking is preferred.
